Why do we have an unusual registration process? You may be wondering why we used this unusual registration process. Firstly, we want to have only serious people to take an account with us. In many places, people register an account and then do not verify the account. This results in unnecessary clutter in our database, extra to-and-fro emailing and the developer gets the wrong idea about how many people really registered -- when, in fact, some of them are not serious about following up on their registrations.

Many websites use a conventional registration process to harvest the email address. Then they follow-up with emails like: "We miss you" and other cringy stuff. We really believe that email marketing of that kind is not only not dignified but it is really not that effective either. We do only the bare minimum of emailing.
